Question 1 : What Made you fall in love with fashion?

Onyx: “I grew up always admiring Monster High girls and their
incredible sense of style, I started with a fascination with
haircuts and colours, which led to my love of overall style
and fashion :)
It allows me to express myself and I like to push myself to
overlap my ideaology with my way of living and dressing. I
think it's really important to let yourself be weird and free and
ultimately beautiful !”
Question 2: Would you say fashion is a way for you to express yourself?
Onyx: “For sure, I think fashion can be a really positive way to
express creativity and share interests. For example, it can be
used to express important political views or offer silent support
and recognition to different groups. From wearing a keffiyeh, or
safety pins, fashion is often political. For example in the punk
subculture, some punks ladder lace the doc martens with
different shoelace colours to mean different things - yellow is
anti racist, purple is LGBT+ positive, etc. Not everyone follows
these rules but I like the symbolism and the way of making
community with these messages!.”
Question 3: Did you always dress the way you do now? Or did it take you a while to realize it?

Onyx:”It definitely took a while and I believe its ever-evolving with me. I have a good base line and I like to expand on it by trying new things, whether that be introducing a new silhouette or texture to an outfit.
I made this POSER shirt as a way to face and acknowledge
my feeling of imposter syndrome that I too often let get me down, as a reminder that it's not so serious really.”
Question 4: What is your favorite shade of green?
Onyx: “My favourite colour to see would be a deep forest green, and my favourite colour to wear aside from black is silver. I like the way it introduces shine and contract to an outfit, and I love to accessorise.
I do not put myself in line with Coco Chanel and her “take one accessory off before you leave the house” mantra because she was a Nazi and life is too short not to decorate yourself for fun! Wear trinkets, make jingly sounds, become your own walking art exhibition <3.”
